Inclusion Support Teacher - LDD (Learning Difficulties and Disabilities)

Egypt Education Platform is excited to announce an opening for an Inclusion Support Teacher at GEMS British International School Al Rehab. This role is ideal for a dedicated and compassionate educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support for students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (LDD) through individual, small-group, and in-class interventions.
• Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted intervention strategies.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum, learning materials, and assessments to meet individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Liaise with parents, teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
• Promote inclusive teaching practices and provide guidance to colleagues on differentiation and appropriate accommodations.
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development to foster independence and confidence.
• Contribute to the school's safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• Previous experience supporting students with SEND in an international school.
• Previous experience supporting students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (LDD) .
• Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learners with diverse needs.
