Inventory Control Associate
Hours 4:00am to 12:30pm
Supports the execution of all processes and procedures related to inventory accuracy within the Logistics Center. Maintains warehouse bin accuracy, helps control inventory shrink, and utilizes Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and various types of material handling equipment to support efficient operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
- Prior warehouse equipment operating experience preferred
- Investigate bin location variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Research problem orders and receipts for the Logistics Center.
- Input data into warehouse management systems, databases, and reporting tools.
- Maintain inventory and bin accuracy through system transactions including cycle counts, pick exceptions, bad box processing, lost bins, found bins, pick paths, and bin maintenance.
- Collect, maintain, and provide detailed statistics and reports on performance metrics.
- Perform assigned functions in accordance with established quality standards.
- Meet attendance and punctuality expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Identify operational needs, risks, and opportunities and develop appropriate action plans.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues while serving as a resource to others.
- Demonstrate persistence in achieving objectives and completing assigned tasks.
- Possess basic clerical and data entry skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency with warehouse management systems, Excel, databases, and reporting tools.
- Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Coach and support the development of others as needed.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business requirements.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources to recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Apply mathematical concepts and perform calculations required for inventory analysis.
- Lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience working with warehouse management and inventory control systems in a high-volume distribution environment.
Working Conditions
- Distribution center environment with exposure to varying heights, extreme temperatures, moderate and consistent noise levels, hot, dry, wet, and/or humid conditions, and outside weather conditions.
- Ability to position oneself as necessary to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Occasional non-standard work hours and overtime may be required based on business needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
**Must have working knowledge of English language for training and safety purposes.
