Job description
TITLE- Fire Service Technician: Commercial Marine
Location – Mumbai
What you will do
- Hands on Diagnose and rectification of defects in Addressable and Conventional Fire Detection systems onboard ships.
- Execute retrofit and commissioning activities for AFDS
- Perform annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for AFDS.
- Troubleshoot software issues within control panels, including program changes, upload/download.
How you will do it
- Interpret manuals, P&ID diagrams, and electrical drawings for troubleshooting.
- Apply control philosophy knowledge to implement retrofit solutions.
- Analyze onboard logbook data to identify and resolve system defects.
- Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and operational excellence.
What we look for
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering
- Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on service experience in AFDS
Required
- Expertise in trouble shooting Addressable & Conventional Fire Detection Systems like Tyco/Siemens/Notifier/Optronic/Consolieum etc
- Good communication and report-writing abilities.
- Willingness to travel across Indian ports.
Preferred
- Experience of Commercial Marine conventional/addressable fire detection systems
