About the Role
The HR Generalist is an integral part of the HR team. The HR Generalist is a full-time onsite opportunity. The HR generalist will support business leaders and HR leadership in making decisions related to daily operations. This role will participate in improvement of policies and procedures and handle all onsite and remote employee relations. The HR Generalist position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of independently working and supporting business leaders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have five years of progressive leadership experience in HR in areas including employee relations performance management training and HRIS.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer various human resource plans and procedures
- Liaison with recruiting management and IT to successfully onboard new hires
- Assist with new hire orientations as needed
- Facilitate training and education for managers and employees
- Handle employee relations mediation including counseling investigations and addressing day-to-day needs
- Participate in developing department goals objectives and systems
- Facilitate cultural events
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves benefits compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Assist in maintaining employee related databases including the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- Prepare and analyze reports for departments as necessary
- Uphold compliance with federal and state regulations related to employment
- Review and process termination paperwork
- Project management for various HR projects and onsite projects related to business operations
Skills/Abilities:
- Relationship management
- Experienced in high volume associate relations employment law and practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Aptitude in problem solving in a high volume environment
- High degree of fluency in Microsoft Office – Word Excel Google Suite
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Effective oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 5 years of progressive experience in HR roles
- UKG experience preferred
Certificates/Licenses/Registration:
- HR certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. This role is fully onsite. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
