At SEEK our biggest asset is our people, and we are proud of our community of valued, talented and diverse individuals who really know their stuff. Our culture statement, Our SEEK, is all about what makes SEEK unique and a little bit different. Our SEEK clearly outlines the Principles and the Behaviours of our best people, which include:

  • Team: we care about each other and collaborate to achieve together

  • Delivery: we execute with excellence and achieve great results

  • Future: we think and act for the long term

    The Role

As HR Business Partner (Commercial) at SEEK, you'll partner with leaders across Malaysia and Singapore to build people strategies that enable growth, high performance and strong engagement.

Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, Commercial (APAC), you'll provide coaching and guidance across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring people practices are commercially minded, compliant and aligned to SEEK's culture and values. You will be part of the APAC HRBP team within People & Culture, working cross-functionally with HR Advisors, D&I specialists and our Centres of Excellence in an agile, project-based way with no direct reports initially.

You will translate business priorities into clear, practical people plans that make a real difference — from workforce planning and organisational design through to employee relations and cyclical P&C processes. Success in this role means being a trusted partner to leaders, driving data-informed decisions and championing an inclusive, high-performing culture across your markets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with leaders to translate business priorities into practical people plans for Malaysia and Singapore
    • Coach and advise people leaders on performance, development, team effectiveness and change
    • Lead workforce planning, role design and organisational design activities for your client groups
    • Manage employee relations matters end-to-end in line with SEEK policies and Malaysian employment legislation
    • Deliver P&C cyclical processes including performance reviews, remuneration reviews and engagement surveys
    • Use people data and insights to identify risks and opportunities, and recommend clear actions to leaders
    • Champion SEEK's culture, values and EVP, and contribute to APAC-wide People & Culture projects
    • Significant HR generalist or HRBP experience in Malaysia and/or Singapore, with a strong advisory track record
    • Solid knowledge of Malaysian and Singapore employment legislation applied in real case work
    • Demonstrated experience coaching and influencing leaders on performance, change and complex people matters
    • Proven end-to-end employee relations case management experience (performance, investigations, disciplinary, grievance)
    • Experience supporting P&C cyclical processes such as performance and remuneration reviews
    • Exposure to people data and analytics tools to generate insights and recommendations for leaders

    At SEEK we offer:

    • Support of flexible working, including a mix of office and work from home days depending on your role.
    • SEEK is committed to operating sustainably, certified carbon neutral for its business operations (through Climate Active), purchasing renewable energy for our office and working-from-home emissions and a target for net zero by 2030.
    • The opportunity to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per financial year
    • SEEKer Support, a confidential service that offers employees up to six sessions with a mental health professional of your choice

At SEEK, we are passionate about fostering a culture of inclusion and wellbeing that embraces and values the diversity of our people. We are a purpose driven business that works with heart.

We know teams with diverse ideas, experiences and perspectives are more creative and are critical to ensuring effective delivery and innovating to enable our future success. As such, we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and life experiences, especially as they relate to gender, sexual identity, culture, faith, disability and life stages. If you have the skills, curiosity and an adaptable mindset but don't meet every responsibility or qualification listed in this advertisement, please still get in touch with us.

Should you require any specific support or adjustments throughout the recruitment process and beyond, please advise us and we will be happy to assist.

For this role, only those candidates with the eligible right to work will be considered.

SEEK kindly requests no unsolicited resumes or approaches from recruitment agencies and will not be responsible for any associated fees.
