Our client is a Bermuda-based service provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of a prominent regional reinsurance firm, operating within a well-established global life and annuity platform. The company's dedicated professionals deliver comprehensive operational and corporate services to internal affiliates and key strategic partners across the wider organization.

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the Bermuda companies’ close accounting and financial reporting processes, including Bermuda statutory reporting, US GAAP reporting, and technical accounting analysis. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role will partner closely with finance, actuarial, and operational teams while contributing to regulatory reporting, audit coordination, and finance transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, experience within life and annuity insurance or reinsurance accounting, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
• 3+ years of life and annuity insurance or reinsurance accounting experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
• Familiarity with Bermuda statutory reporting requirements preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to research accounting treatment for reinsurance transactions and draft accounting policy memoranda
