About the role

We are looking for an HR Operations Specialist who enjoys working in an international environment. In this role, you will be responsible for HR Operations activities in a multi country HR team, focusing on Germany, while also providing back-up support for the Netherlands and Belgium. You will be the local HR expert for processes that require country-specific knowledge, language skills and understanding of local legislation and practices.

You will work closely with our Global Business Services (GBS) teams, HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs), managers and external partners to ensure high-quality HR support and compliant processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys combining operational excellence with continuous improvement and who feels comfortable working across countries, cultures and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with GBS to deliver seamless HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, from hire to retire.

  • Manage HR activities that remain locally owned due to legal, regulatory, language or business requirements.

  • Support local payroll processes and coordinate closely with payroll providers, finance teams and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure accurate, compliant and timely HR administration and documentation.

  • Support audits, government reporting and local compliance requirements.

  • Provide operational support on employee and labor relations matters in line with local legislation and company policies.

  • Support local Works Council consultations, disciplinary processes and employee case management activities.

  • Act as a trusted local HR contact for employees, managers and HR colleagues.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, improve and standardise HR processes.

  • Contribute to regional HR projects and initiatives.

Your profile

You enjoy taking ownership, building relationships, influencing others and finding practical solutions. You are comfortable working independently while remaining connected to a wider international HR team.

You bring:

  • Experience in HR Operations and/or a HR Generalist role in Germany.

  • Solid experience supporting HR and payroll processes in Germany.

  • Experience with HR in the Netherlands and Belgium and knowledge of Dutch payroll is a strong advantage.

  • A strong foundation in German labor law and a basic understanding of Dutch and Belgium labor law.

  • Experience working in an international organization is an advantage.

  • Fluency in German, Dutch and English.

  • A structured, proactive and solution-oriented approach.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Curiosity, a willingness to learn and openness to change.

  • Flexibility to travel occasionally within the region.
