SUMMARY
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions and serving as a versatile member of the HR team. This role assists in key areas including payroll, benefits administration, and employee record management. The HR Generalist will also provide support for onboarding and orientation as needed. This position requires a flexible, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working across multiple HR functions.

- Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the HR Manager in the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures
- Assists operations management with day-to-day HR needs including employee relations, policy interpretation, and general support
- Maintains HRIS records and assists with reporting and data accuracy
- Supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- At times, assists with new hire onboarding, including orientation, I-9 verification, and airport-specific training
- Provides general administrative HR support and assists with special projects as assigned
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Assist with benefits administration, including employee enrollments, changes, and responding to general benefits inquiries
- Support payroll processes with a basic understanding of payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate data submission
- Partner with the HR Admin to monitor and manage the HRHelp inbox, responding to employee inquiries and routing requests as appropriate
- Provide general HR support across multiple functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability within the department

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a related field
- Some college preferred
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Airport: This position operates in a climate-controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public are outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.
Normal office environment with standard lighting and average noise levels. Prolonged periods sitting at desk working on a computer. Regular/repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate computer components (e.g., keyboard, mouse, etc.). Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, bend, reach, and squat.
