As a member of the housing team, the Housing Aide is responsible for cleaning and stocking apartments as they are vacated, as well as cleaning and stocking public areas. This position emphasizes the importance of positive public relations and conducts such while performing assigned duties. Through this role, the Housing Aide continually seeks ways to improve the appearance of the apartments and housing facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Housing Aide performs several duties to promote a positive patient experience at Shepherd Center. Accountabilities:

  • Inspects linen for cleanliness and restocks if necessary.
  • Notifies Housing Manager of any problems/maintenance issues identified during cleaning of units or public areas.
  • Ensures that all apartments are correctly stocked for next guest.
  • Cleans and stocks public restrooms and water fountains in accordance with procedures.


REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • High school graduate preferred

REQUIRED MINIMUM CERTIFICATION

  • None

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred, preferably in hospitality or healthcare setting

REQUIRED MINIMUM SKILLS

  • Ability to work well with others
  • Excellent customer service skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to walk easily throughout housing facilities, lift 35 pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Physically cleaning facilities and performing simple maintenance tasks inside with heating and air conditioning. 
  • Occasionally outside when cleaning offsite apartments
