About Our Family:

We are a busy, warm family of three living in Brooklyn. Both parents have fulfilling careers that keep them on the go, and they’re committed to balancing their work with quality time as a family. The family also has a sweet, older dog who enjoys lounging around.

We’re looking for a reliable, intuitive, and proactive House Manager & Personal Assistant to assist with a range of household and personal tasks. These responsibilities include organizing the home, light meal preparation, managing errands, household and personal projects and offering light pet care when needed. Our aim is to find someone who can help streamline daily life, relieving some of the household workload so the parents can devote more time to both their careers and family activities. This role is crucial to helping maintain the household’s systems and ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing us to focus on what truly matters. As our family’s needs evolve, we’re seeking a supportive partner who will adapt and grow with us.

About You:

  • Proactive & Intuitive: You take initiative and anticipate needs without needing constant direction.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: You thrive in creating and maintaining systems to keep the household running smoothly.
  • Light-Hearted & Easy-Going: A sense of humor and a calm demeanor go a long way in this family dynamic.
  • Dependable & Flexible: Comfortable with a flexible schedule and changing tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Household Management & Organization:

  • Daily general tidying: load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas.
  • Organize the pantry and manage household inventory
  • Oversee package management: pickup, unboxing, breaking down boxes, and returns
  • Coordinate one-off household projects (e.g., art installations, creating organization systems)
  • Organize closets and manage household storage and rotation of seasonal decor and items.

Meal Planning & Preparation:

  • Prepare simple, healthy meals for toddler (including baby recipes and freezer meals)
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized post-prep
  • Assist with grocery shopping and coordinate food deliveries

Laundry & Linen Care:

  • Wash, dry, fold, organize, and put away family laundry, focusing primarily on parents' laundry.
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies.

Pet Care:

  • Assist with occasional trips to the groomer or vet
  • Launder dog beds and blankets
  • Keep pet supplies stocked

Errands:

  • Manage errands in the family car such as car washes, donation drop offs, and trips to the nearby storage unit
  • Handle local shopping and returns, dry cleaning, gift buying, and other family errands

Administrative & Personal Support (can be done remotely where appropriate):

  • Manage family calendars and schedule appointments (e.g., pediatrician, vet)
  • Online research for family activities, purchases and other needs
  • Support with organizing family-related tasks like event preparations
