Job title: Sous Chef

Salary: Up to 26,500 GBP

Location: Coniston, Cumbria

Type of contract: Permanent

Workplace description: Next to Coniston Water, with views across the lawns and to the lake, this hotel’s lounge bar offers local ales, light snacks and afternoon tea. The restaurant offers a fine menu of local cuisine. The centre of Coniston is a 2-minute walk away.

Main duties and responsibilities: You will report to the Head Chef and be responsible for the kitchen in his absence. Duties will include prep and cooking along with ordering and maintaining stock, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times.

Essential criteria: You will have a passion for the industry and attention to detail. You must also have an excellent attitude and the willingness to learn and be looking to develop your career. You will have previous experience in a hotel environment, with main focus on weddings & banquets and have good team spirit.
