Montefiore-Einstein is seeking qualified and dedicated physicians to work as Hospitalists.  This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, providing care for patients in the Emergency Department and the adjacent 12-bed inpatient unit known as the AU.  The Hospitalists will be integral in managing and coordinating the care of patients, particularly “Boarders” awaiting bed assignments in the Inpatient Units.  
You will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients in the Emergency Department and the AU. You will work closely with Emergency Medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.  You will participate in ongoing training and educational programs related to Emergency Medicine practices. You will collaborate with other healthcare providers, including Nurses, specialists and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.  You will also have the opportunity to participate in regular team meetings and contribute to QI initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys. Our ED Hospitalists will have shifts regularly scheduled at both Weiler and Moses (and potentially other sites depending the needs of the department and expansion of the program). Hours are a mix of day and night shifts, 12 hours each. Total clinical hours per year is 1656. 
 
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and be able to obtain a New York State Medical License.  Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions.  
In addition to a competitive salary of $250,000, we offer productivity incentives and potential to moonlight.  LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
