Academic/Clinical Hematologist Position (Asst or Assoc Prof Level) – New York

The Hematology Division of the Department of Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a candidate for full-time Clinical Hematologist / Clinical Researcher faculty position in our Division of Hematology at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level.

Our ideal candidate will have interests in the care and management of patients with thrombosis, bleeding disorders, autoimmune hematologic disorders, complementopathies, hemoglobinopathies, and general nonmalignant hematology. We are a large group of 8 classical Hematologists, with a funded Hemophilia Treatment Center and a Sickle Cell Center; we maintain a Women’s Blood Disorders Clinic, a Thrombosis Program, an Immunohematology Program and an Iron Infusion Program. The candidate would be expected to participate in and develop their own clinical/epidemiologic research and/or clinical trials.

Working out of the Moses and Weiler campuses, the position includes clinical practice in inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. Call is approximately 1 weekend in 8 weeks.  Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.

Candidates must have an M.D., be Board Certified in Hematology, and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in the State of New York. Visa sponsorship is available to qualified applicants.

We offer a competitive salary starting at $250K commensurate with experience and academic rank and an excellent benefits package. This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the largest in the nation, academically strong, growing, and collaborative Division of Hematology in a leading medical school.

CV with cover letter indicating interest should be sent to: John C. Pinto, Recruiting Manager at jpinto@montefiore.org and Irina Murakhovskaya, MD at imurakho@montefiore.org or call 347.640.0741 for more details.
