Job description
SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox, co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is now accepting resumes for Hebrew Immersion Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year in the Early Learning Center (Nursery-Kindergarten).
 
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a Co-Teacher to develop and implement curriculum, lessons, and activiites
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment with differentiated instruction
- Create interactive lessons centered on chagim and Jewish values
- Effectively manage the classroom to support student learning and development
-Maintain open communication with students, parents and administrators regarding students’ progress
-Participate in school duties outside the classroom, including arrival, lunch, and dismissal duty
 
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Hebrew; native Hebrew speaker preferred
- Familiarity with Israeli preschool culture, including Hebrew songs commonly sung in Israeli early childhood classrooms
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to build meaningful connections with young children and foster an atmosphere of mutual respect
- Positive, creative, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Understanding of social, emotional, and cognitive development in early childhood
- Experience differentiating instruction in a diverse classroom setting
- Creative, flexible, and open-minded approach to teaching
