Responsibilities
Your Role:
Will be responsible for maintaining and heavy equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks
- Repair or replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment to perform repairs
- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed
- Ensure all vehicles are compliant with safety standards
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a diesel and hydraulic mechanic, preferably in the waste management industry
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
