TEXANS CROWN TOWING is seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty tow trucks to provide towing services for larger vehicles and equipment. This position requires a strong knowledge of heavy-duty towing operations, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty wrecker trucks to respond to towing requests for commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Secure vehicles and equipment for safe transport using proper techniques and safety equipment.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers during towing operations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of wrecker trucks and equipment to ensure safe and optimal operation.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided, including mileage, fuel consumption, and customer interactions.
• Follow company policies and local regulations regarding towing and roadside assistance.
• Assist with loading and unloading of heavy vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in heavy-duty towing operations.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience as a heavy-duty wrecker driver is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle operations and towing techniques.
• Excellent driving skills and ability to operate heavy-duty tow trucks safely.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy equipment and perform towing-related tasks.
• Availability to work in various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics is a plus.
