Heavy duty wrecker driver

GLOBAL PACIFIC SUPPORT is looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty tow trucks to assist with the towing and recovery of oversized vehicles and equipment. Our ideal candidate is safety-conscious, possesses excellent driving skills, and demonstrates a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to heavy-duty towing requests, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of vehicles.
• Safely secure and transport oversized vehicles and heavy equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are operational and compliant with safety standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while interacting with clients during towing operations.
• Maintain accurate logs of services rendered, including vehicle condition and customer interactions.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle towing and recovery.
• Assist with loading and unloading heavy-duty vehicles when necessary.
• Stay updated on best practices and new techniques in heavy-duty towing and recovery.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Proven experience as a heavy-duty wrecker driver or in a similar towing position.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty towing equipment and vehicle handling techniques.
• Excellent driving record with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting and securing heavy equipment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with clients.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles is preferred.
