Head Vet Nurse - Greencross Woolloongabba

We are looking for a Head Nurse to join and guide our Greencross Woolloongabba team!

As Head Nurse, you will be a steady, dependable presence who’s always thinking one step ahead, a team player who is great with people and animals alike! Our GP clinic is well-established, busy, and trusted by a loyal client base and we take pride in our purpose built space, dedicated staff, and patient-focused approach. With Woolloongabba you’ll be part of a team that provides comprehensive care from routine consults to complex cases, with the support of emergency vets and advanced diagnostics just steps away.

What you’ll be doing each day: 

• Full-time role – ideal start date 24th November 2025
• Managing a team of GP surgery and consulting vet nurses 
• Guiding and mentoring our current Cert II, Cert III, and Cert IV students 
• Supporting our busy Vet teams 
• Building on our positive team culture  
• Contributing as an integral part of the surgical and consulting nurse team
• Administration hours, built into your week

 What you’ll bring:

• Veterinary Nursing / Vet Tech qualification or equivalent 
• Minimum 2+ years post qualification experience working as a vet nurse 
• Confidence and enthusiasm in providing mentorship, training, and support
• Confidence working within a busy clinical setting
• Team building skills with previous experience leading and/or mentoring a team advantageous
• Strong communication and customer service skills
