Role Overview

The role leads the Technical Services function for unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats, supporting customers, translating technical requirements into effective solutions, and partnering with Sales through value-based selling. The position strengthens technical capabilities, drives application excellence, and supports business growth.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide expert technical support, product recommendations, and application guidance to customers
• Evaluate customer needs and translate them into suitable product and solution offerings
• Partner with Sales to prioritize opportunities and support defined market segments
• Lead technical service requests, laboratory activities, and issue resolution
• Act as a technical advisor to internal stakeholders across functions
• Deliver customer and internal technical training programs
• Develop technical documentation and support seminars
• Travel to customer sites as required (20–40%)

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
 

Level of education & Experience in general

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical discipline (Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated technical aptitude with experience in project management; people management experience is preferred
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer locations

Technical skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in composites application support, particularly high-performance resins
• Hands-on experience with unsaturated polyester resins and gelcoats
• Exposure to reactive polymers, composites processing, and testing
• Proven ability to deliver results and meet tight deadlines
