Job description

At Avidyne, safety is not just a priority — it is the foundation of everything we do.

We're looking for a senior assurance leader who will take full ownership of quality, certification, audit, and internal process assurance, all under one roof.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

At Avidyne, you'll have full accountability for ensuring product integrity and regulatory compliance across all product lines. Your role will involve consolidating the functions of Quality, Certification, Audit, and Internal Process Assurance into a single, independent organization that reports directly to the President.

You'll define the processes for maintaining our certifications, enforcing our standards, and ensuring that engineering, operations, and regulatory authorities operate from a unified foundation. This includes managing our relationships with the FAA, EASA, and overseeing Part 145 compliance. Additionally, you will lead the development assurance processes for DO-178 and DO-254, manage Material Review Board activities, handle nonconforming materials, and possess the authority and judgment to halt production when necessary to address any issues.

WHY AVIDYNE

At Avidyne, our culture is grounded in the philosophy of Simply Flying — a focus on creating practical, effective solutions that make a real impact.

Built for those who never settle for good enough, we’re looking for dedicated professionals who bring integrity to every decision and push for smarter, safer solutions — because every flight depends on it.

Here, innovation is driven by people who care deeply about the future of aviation. Your ideas can help create safer, smarter solutions—your work will truly make a difference.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 10 years of experience in quality, certification, or assurance roles within a regulated design and manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple functions or teams.

• Strong understanding of regulated aerospace or safety-critical manufacturing environments.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive compliance initiatives, and support operational excellence.

HELPFUL TO HAVE

• Master’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline (may substitute for 2 years of experience).

• Experience with design assurance activities including DO-254, DO-178, ARP-4754 lifecycle processes, or similar development assurance frameworks.

• AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.

• ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM, or CQA.

• Experience working in Part 21 and/or Part 145 regulated environments.

• FAA DER or DAR experience, or direct support of DER/DAR activities.
