Job Description Summary

The Head of Retirement Operations will serve as the end-to-end operations leader for the retirement line of business. Lead a large workforce to align operations to deliver the Retirement business strategy. This role will report to the Chief Operations Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operations strategy with a focus on efficiencies that enhance the experience for customers, agents, and advisors.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end execution of operational functions in support of the overall Retirement organizational goals.
  • Provide direction and control for the effective and profitable operation for Retirement.
  • Develop the organization's short- and long-term goals and strategies to ensure business processes and operational controls are in place.
  • Identify opportunities for potential outsourcing strategies and partner with key leaders to execute effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership in Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Legal to ensure organizational success.
  • Evaluate existing processes across Retirement and provide guidance on efficiencies and performance improvements and report on operating results to ensure consistent growth and progress towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Ensure tools, resources, and processes are in place to monitor, track and report performance.
  • Build high performing diverse teams to meet business needs.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement to drive operating efficiency.
  • Manage overall budget for the Operations organization.
  • Promote and foster employee engagement and well-being by driving collaboration, innovation, transparency, inclusion, and trust across the function and organization.


Qualifications

  • 12 years or more of progressive leadership experience in the financial services/insurance industry in an Operations capacity
  • Deep knowledge of the Retirement business, products and operations
  • Business acumen to execute strategic plans and allocate budgets
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills to influence outcomes at the executive level

    • Remote (Call Center) Environment
    • Moderate Travel 10 to 25%

    The Salary for this position generally ranges between $274,000 - $320,000 annuallyPlease note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs.

    Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

    Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion
