Head of Product Unit – Passive Sensor Solutions

We are now looking for a Head of Product Unit – Passive Sensor Solutions to lead and grow a critical part of our business.

Your role

As Head of the Passive Sensor Solutions Product Unit, you will have full responsibility for the unit’s performance—including profitability, product development, project execution, and strategic direction.

The unit currently operates across Finland and Germany with vital stakeholders in Sweden, bringing together expertise in product design, project and product management, business development, production, and support functions. You will lead a cross-national management team and drive alignment across all areas of the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
• Defining and executing short- and long-term strategies for growth and competitiveness
• Leading product development and ensuring successful project delivery to customers
• Driving a high-performance culture across geographically distributed teams
• Strengthening collaboration across the organization to secure new business and deliver on commitments
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

You will join Business Unit Surface Sensor Solutions within Saab Surveillance and become part of the business unit’s management team. In this role, you will play an important part in shaping the future offering within Electronic Warfare and Signal Intelligence together with the wider organisation.

Saab Surveillance delivers advanced solutions for safety and security, enabling surveillance, decision support and threat detection. The portfolio includes airborne, ground-based and naval radar, Electronic Warfare systems, combat systems, command and control, as well as communication solutions.

This role involves frequent travel.

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader with the ability to create engagement and drive development in complex, high-tech and international environments. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and have experience leading specialised technical organisations in decentralised structures.

To succeed in the role, you bring a strong business mindset and the ability to translate market and customer needs into clear organisational direction and long-term business development. You are comfortable working across borders and interfaces, building alignment and driving progress through collaboration. You also have experience of leading change and organisational development, with a focus on engagement and shared ways of working.

• Proven leadership experience with P&L responsibility in an international setting
• A strong track record of developing and executing business strategies that deliver growth and profitability
• Experience managing complex organisations with highly skilled technical teams
• Solid financial acumen, including budgeting and performance management
• The ability to define and drive a compelling product vision in a rapidly evolving technology landscape
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust across customers, partners, and internal networks
• High personal drive, integrity, and the ability to lead through values, vision, and clear goals
• Excellent cross-cultural leadership skills and experience working in international environments
