Position Overview: We are looking for a Head of Medical Strategy & Commercial Excellence who will lead the integration of medical insight and commercial strategy to maximize the value of the company’s pharmaceutical portfolio. The role ensures that commercial initiatives are supported by strong scientific evidence and strategic medical communication, fostering effective collaboration between medical and commercial teams to drive sustainable growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated medical–commercial strategies aligned with the company’s portfolio and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure that scientific evidence supports commercial positioning and messaging.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness, performance, and field force capabilities.
  • Develop frameworks, tools, and processes that drive commercial excellence and customer engagement.
  • Guide strategic communication with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Support training and development programs to strengthen scientific and strategic capabilities within commercial teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Trials, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory teams.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field (PhD or MD preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across Medical Affairs, Commercial Strategy, or Sales Leadership.
  • Strong understanding of medical communication, clinical data interpretation, and evidence-based strategy.
  • Proven experience in commercial excellence initiatives or sales strategy development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional and matrix environments.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
