The Head, Business Conservation leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed to protect and maximize in-force revenue, reduce avoidable lapses, and strengthen client lifetime value. This role drives enterprise-wide capabilities that improve retention outcomes, enhance advisor continuity, and increase proactive engagement across identified client cohorts—particularly among reassigned and at-risk client segments.
The Head, Business Conservation is accountable for establishing targets, defining functional strategies, and operationalizing processes that measurably improve continuity ownership, reduce preventable lapses, and enhance client reachability. This role partners across distribution and servicing functions to embed proactive engagement practices, optimize advisor participation, and deliver superior continuity experiences that strengthen both client and advisor relationships while contributing to enterprise efficiency and revenue preservation.

Business Conservation Strategy & Direction
    •    Develop and execute the enterprise business conservation strategy aligned with Distribution, persistency, and customer experience objectives.
    •    Define multi-year conservation roadmaps covering orphan management, at-risk client engagement, reinstatement, and reselling opportunities.
    •    Establish success metrics and targets 

Conservation Operations & Execution
    •    Oversee day-to-day execution of conservation activities including orphan outreach, premium reminders, lapse prevention, reinstatement, and proactive client engagement.
    •    Ensure operational excellence through standardized processes, clear ownership, and performance discipline.
    •    Continuously optimize workflows using insights from operations, data trends, and client feedback.

Cross-Functional Business Partnership
    •    Partner with Distribution to support advisor-less and head-office-led client engagement models.
    •    Collaborate with Operations to integrate conservation processes into core workflows.
    •    Work with Technology to ensure access to systems, tools, and data required by the team.
    •    Align with Marketing/CX to design direct-to-client journeys and communication strategies.
    •    Coordinate with Finance to manage costs and deliver net-zero or value-accretive expense outcomes.
