Job description

ITnova is seeking a skilled H-1 Aircraft Mechanic (Flight Line) to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for performing flight line maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to aircraft systems and components to ensure aircraft safety, reliability, and mission readiness. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with rotary-wing aircraft maintenance, a strong understanding of fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance support in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions.  
  • Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations. 
  • Maintains aircraft fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. 
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems. 
  • Performs troubleshooting, repair, modification, corrosion control, and preservation of aircraft and aircraft subsystems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. 
  • Overhauls aircraft components and subcomponents, as required and authorized. 
  • Services ground support equipment and performs preventive maintenance inspections on assigned support equipment, as required. 
  • Completes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA and required forms, as required by job assignment. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience.  
  • Must be skill-qualified in a primary MOS fromOccFld611X or 617X Aircraft Maintenance, an equivalent skill designation from another service, or possess valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. 
  • Must demonstrate operational knowledge of aircraftaircraft systems, engines, and component parts. 
  • Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance. 
  • Must be able to read and write, interpret, and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job. 
  • Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 60 days after assignment. 
  • Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required industrial security clearance level for the position. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
  • Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required. 
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
  • Must be able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
  • If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks. 
  • If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours. 
  • If required, must be able to perform confined-space activities. 
  • Travel may be required.
