Guest Room Attendant

The Guest Room Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality by maintaining guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position is essential to ensuring guest satisfaction and safety throughout their stay.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• Maintain the security and integrity of guest rooms and their contents at all times
• Execute comprehensive cleaning of assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, including:
• Changing and laundering bed linens
• Collecting soiled bath linens and replenishing with fresh linens
• Dusting and sanitizing all hard surfaces
• Vacuuming and maintaining carpeted areas
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathroom fixtures including sink, counters, tub, shower, and toilet
• Restocking room amenities such as tissues, soaps, and toiletries
• Prepare and stock supply carts with all necessary cleaning materials and supplies
• Accurately update room status and complete all required departmental documentation
• Communicate maintenance and repair needs to the housekeeping office promptly
• Respond to guest requests with professionalism and efficiency
• Perform additional duties as directed by management

 Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to maintain physical demands of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
• Capacity to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds regularly
• Ability to maneuver and operate supply carts weighing approximately 100 pounds
• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks including kneeling, reaching, stooping, bending, scrubbing, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Commitment to obtaining and maintaining all required certifications and licenses as mandated by the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in guest room attendant or similar housekeeping position
• Proficiency in the safe and proper application of cleaning chemicals and hospitality-grade sanitizing agents
• Knowledge of industry best practices for guest room maintenance and sanitation standards
