This role is in support of Cencora's global pharma consulting services marketed through our PharmaLex business.

This role can be based either from our Lublin office, or remotely in Poland with travel to Lublin as required for meetings.

Purpose & Contribution Summary
The Group Controller plays a pivotal role in driving financial integrity across Phlexglobal's global operations. This senior finance leadership position is accountable for all end-to-end finance activities across UK, US, Poland, and India entities, as well as the consolidated group. The role provides oversight of the month-end close cycle, leads a team of finance professionals, and ensures robust compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close

  • Full Responsibility for the General Ledger, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Fixed Asset ledger
  • Lead and own the month-end close process, targeting a consistent Workday 5 close
  • Preparation of accurate consolidated monthly management accounts with commentary and flux analysis
  • Oversight, review and co-ordination of consolidated group reporting on a monthly basis

Balance Sheet & Controls

  • Balance sheet reconciliation and review
  • Prepayments and accruals management
  • Intercompany reconciliations across all entities
  • Reviewing and approving journals
  • Cost Centre reporting and allocation

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Management, coaching and development of direct reports across multiple geographies
  • Payroll review and sign-off
  • Cash management and treasury oversight
  • Close co-ordination and collaboration with the FP&A team
  • Other ad-hoc projects and queries as required

Compliance & Governance

  • Local tax and statutory compliance reporting for each entity (UK, US, Poland, India)
  • Statutory accounts preparation and management of the annual audit process
  • Ensuring adherence to US GAAP, UK GAAP, and other applicable country-specific accounting standards
  • On-going enhancement, development and documentation of financial processes and controls

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a senior accounting/controllership role
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
  • Demonstrated experience of multi-currency entity consolidations
  • Proficiency in statutory consolidation and US GAAP (as well as relevant country-specific GAAP)
  • Proven track record of leading and developing a team of finance professionals
  • Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assimilate and summarise financial information clearly and concisely
  • Willingness to be hands-on and to travel to the Lublin office at least monthly

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed team across multiple international locations
  • Prior experience within a life sciences, or professional services environment
