Key responsibilities and duties

  • Ensure Groundworks are delivered on time and within budget in line with the construction programme
  • Assess work activities to be carried out, plan the resources required in conjunction with the site program to ensure that deadlines are met and related works are carried out in the correct sequence
  • Manage and coordinate both site staff and sub-contractors on site
  • Liaise and communicate closely with the design team, Project Manager and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate the daily resourcing and control of site labour and ordering of materials and coordinate look aheads
  • Complete the online daily site diary, relevant weekly documentation in accordance with company policy
  • Carry out company compliance and administration procedures and recording performance and progress of site operations and subcontractors
  • Provide training and technical advice to the site team
  • Effectively plan of tasks and efficiently organise the plant and site facilities in order to meet deadlines
  • Ensure works are carried out in compliance with planning, health and safety and company guidelines and protocols
  • Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners

Requirements

  • Degree/Higher Diploma/HETAC qualification (or relevant trade experience)
  • Background in residential developments essential
  • Knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a methodical nature are key
  • The ability to lead, use initiative and be self-motivated
