Job description
Responsible for the end-to-end process of establishing grid connections, starting with ascertaining viability through to commissioning and delivery..
Functions:
- Check viability of grid connections for all projects and manage grid connections in multiple locations
- Ensure grid connections are completed according to design and AutoCAD drawings
- Prepare grid applications and follow up on the process as required
- Manage activities of all project sites using project management tools
- Plan, define and manage the deliverables and resource requirements for each client project
- Ensure that resources are delivered in the right quantity, quality, and on time within project budget
- Define and monitor efficiency, effectiveness and success of the operations activities using adequate controlling tools
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards
- Ensure safety on all sites by complying with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of a 1st degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years experience working in a similar role with good knowledge of grid connection processes
- Strong project management experience
- Experience of using project management tools is highly desirable – PMP, PRINCE 2 or MS Project
- Ability to read and understand AutoCAD drawings
