Graphic Design Manager

As a Graphic Design Manager, you will have a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding with a natural eye for design across print and digital mediums. You will possess the drive to inspire dynamic ideas which connect with our audience. You will be working with a team of designers and videographers in close partnership with the editorial and marketing wings, working alongside the Creative Director to assist in overseeing the creative process and offering guidance to the design team.

In this role, you will :

●      Manage a team of designers, photographers and their deliverables, setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinate work activities with other supervisors/managers;

●      Be accountable for the performance and results of the design team;

●      Apply acquired expertise to analyse and solve problems without a clear precedent;

●      Provide input on resource planning and policy development.

●      Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers;

●      Guide decisions and problem-solving by policies, procedures and business plans; receive guidance from the Creative Director;

●      Exercise limited management authority; set employee performance objectives and conduct performance reviews;

●      Design new ideas for branded campaigns and marketing messages;

●      Conduct brainstorming sessions with the team, maintaining our brand identity, to develop innovative initiatives.

●      Review and assist in art and copy development by the team;

●      Produce fresh, innovative work that translates ideas into compelling visuals for our audience.

●      Present or oversee the presentation of final concepts;

Analyse trends, look at new data and stay updated with the times.

Requirements

●      Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts.

●      At least 8 years of experience in a client-side environment with two years of experience managing a team;

●      Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns;

●      Experience in print design;

●      Experience in digital and UI/UX design.

●      Proficient in Visual Ideation/Creativity, Typography Design Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.);

●      Excellent knowledge of Multimedia Design Software (After Effects, etc., Color Theory, Web Design, HTML & CSS Layout, and Conversion Optimisation, Print Design

●      Strong Knowledge of Print and UI/UX design theory;

●      Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and XD is an advantage.

●      Strong collaborative skills;

●      Fluent in English;

●      Excellent communication skills.

●      Ability to manage own workload and changing demands;

●      A keen eye for detail;

●      A can-do and flexible approach;

●      Can perform under pressure and operate in a fast-paced environment.
