Graphic Design Intern - Summer 2026

Hoboken Grace Community Church is looking for a part-time graphic design intern for our Communications Department. The individual will work directly with our Communications Director and staff team to ensure all day-to-day design needs of the Communications team are planned and executed.

 

This position is ideal for anyone who is pursuing a career in graphic design, communications, or marketing – and is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience. The candidate must be able to work on-site in Hoboken, NJ and must be eligible to work in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have an introductory knowledge of industry-standard design software
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Detail and task-oriented
• Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects at once
• Strong communication skills 
• Ability to understand the organization’s unique voice
• Have an introductory knowledge of in the formal elements of design, including but not limited to, typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis and color

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design eye-catching graphics for various marketing materials, including social media, promotional banners, and/or email campaigns
• Assist in maintaining the visual brand identity across all design materials 
• Collaborate with different departments to maintain consistency in branding 
• Create graphics for online platforms, including emails, apps and social media

SCHEDULE

• May 26 - August 13, 2026
• 15 - 20 hours per week depending on candidate

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• $500 stipend at the end of the internship
