GeoComm’s mission is to help save lives and protect property by providing essential innovative, location-based solutions to public safety professional across the United States. GeoComm is seeking an intern that will contribute to the mission by providing marketing design support. This is a paid internship, and the intern will generally work 20 hours per week.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
1. Design and develop marketing assets
• Assist in the creation of visual assets for campaigns, email, social media, presentations, events, and sales materials
• Develop graphics and layouts that communicate key messages clearly and align with company branding
• Update and refine existing marketing collateral as needed including brand guidelines
2. Maintain brand standards
• Ensure all creative work follows established brand guidelines and visual standards
• Help build and maintain templates and reusable design assets for the marketing team
• Review materials for consistency, quality, and design accuracy
3. Support creative production
• Prepare files for both print and digital distribution
• Adapt designs across formats, sizes, and channels
• Assist with photo editing, image sourcing, and visual asset management
4. Partner with internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with marketing team members to translate ideas and objectives into effective visual materials
• Manage revisions and feedback efficiently to keep projects moving forward
• Contribute creative ideas during campaign and content planning
5. Complete an internship project
• Identify and complete a design project during the internship
• Build and manage a timeline to ensure the project is completed on time
• Present the completed project to the marketing team, including rationale and outcomes
6. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintaining organized design files and asset libraries
• Assisting with marketing and creative support tasks as needed
• Helping improve the visual quality and consistency of marketing communications
Job Functions & Responsibilities
• Must have strong visual communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency or coursework experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar design platforms
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across branded materials
• Basic understanding of design principles including layout, typography, color, and hierarchy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage files, assets, and multiple assignments efficiently
• Ability to take direction, apply feedback, and revise work in a timely manner
• Interest in marketing, branding, content creation, and visual storytelling
• Experience designing materials for digital and print formats is preferred
• Portfolio samples that demonstrate design capability are preferred
• Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their undergraduate studies in the fall.
Candidates should be seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Art, or a related field.
