About the Internship

ESS is seeking a graduate-level Clinical Counseling Intern (Master’s in Clinical Counseling) for a full academic year unpaid placement.

This internship offers hands-on experience providing school-based mental health services under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Interns will be embedded within one school site and will work as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, interns will:

  • Provide individual counseling to students

  • Co-facilitate or facilitate group therapy

  • Participate in treatment planning and case consultation

  • Engage in family communication and meetings

  • Complete clinical documentation in ESS’s electronic medical record

  • Attend supervision, team meetings, and professional development sessions

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in counseling.

  • Eligible for internship placement per university guidelines

  • Strong interest in working with children and adolescents

  • Professional, collaborative, and eager to learn

  • Commitment to completing the full academic year
