Job Description Summary

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) will support the Manufacturing Process Engineering team in executing the Mitosis Program, a strategic manufacturing transfer and localization initiative. The role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing engineering by supporting product transfer, process documentation, validation, equipment and fixture qualification, shop-floor execution, and operator training activities. Working under the guidance of experienced Manufacturing Process Engineers (MPEs), the GET will contribute to ensuring successful manufacturing readiness while developing strong technical and operational capabilities in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Manufacturing Process Engineering team in executing product transfer and manufacturing localization activities as part of the Mitosis Program.

  • Create, update, and maintain manufacturing process documentation, validation protocols, work instructions, qualification records, and other engineering documentation.

  • Assist in planning and executing process validations, equipment qualifications, fixture qualifications, and manufacturing readiness activities.

  • Provide hands-on shop-floor support during product transfer, validation, and production ramp-up activities.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.

  • Learn manufacturing processes from experienced Manufacturing Process Engineers and apply established engineering practices during project execution.

  • Support training and qualification of newly hired manufacturing operators after completing the required technical training.

  • Assist in verification of validation reports, qualification records, and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to support project milestones.

  • Follow Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and regulatory requirements while executing assigned activities.

  • Contribute to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

  • Perform execution-oriented engineering tasks while working under the technical guidance and approval of Manufacturing Process Engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Recent graduate or early-career engineer with a strong interest in manufacturing engineering.

  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing shop-floor environment supporting validation, equipment qualification, and production activities.

  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and support execution-focused engineering activities.

Desired Characteristics

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, or production environments through academic projects or internships.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing process validation, documentation, or quality systems.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement concepts.

  • Hands-on approach to learning and solving engineering challenges.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Positive attitude, learning agility, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
