Rate for Junior Project Manager - 65$ / hour

Detailed Requirements: Government of SASKATCHEWAN requires a Project Manager to provide the core skills and expertise necessary to plan and coordinate the activities required for two ‘fast track’ operational projects that will proceed and operate simultaneously:

 

·       iPHIS (Public Health Information System - communicable disease recording & reporting) application & database upgrade,

·       Service Account maintenance across all applications (identify & eliminate as a security requirement)


It is expected that each project will consume approximately 50% of the Project Manager’s time, resulting in a full time engagement that will run through to March 31, 2013.
 
Reporting to the Director, Database & Application Services, the Project Manager will be expected to work in an ‘agile’ environment with teams of eHealth Saskatchewan Application Support Analysts, BA’s, and client experts, and will be required to:

Develop and maintain the project Statements of Work, Charters, Plans and Budgets.
Identify project resource requirements.
Coordinate project activities and resources.
Monitor and report project progress to key committees and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain a risk management plan.
Manage project issue identification, resolution and reporting.
Provide experience with application implementation and integration.
Provide experience with provincial applications and technical implementations.  
Manage and coordinate a project team consisting of department staff and contract resources.

Qualifications:

 

Experience in ‘agile’/fast-track operational projects with a depth of understanding in both business and technical analysis.
Experience with healthcare-related project management
Experience in vendor relationship management;
Strong interpersonal, facilitation and customer service skills;
Well- developed documentation skills;
Proven ability to establish and maintain excellent interpersonal and team relationships;
An independent thinker, with initiative and energy to take on challenges with minimal direction;
A track record of working collaboratively with other IT professionals and with clients in developing pragmatic solutions that balance stakeholder needs, enterprise and operations needs;
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline or equivalent education and experience;
PMP Designation
At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager
