Strategic Program Intelligence & Digital Transformation role driving AI-powered portfolio transparency, data-driven decision-making, and digital PMO capabilities for the Refractive Laser Business Sector (REF) in Bangalore, India.

Job Description

Enable data-driven decision-making and intelligent program execution across the Refractive Laser Business Sector by integrating advanced program management practices with AI-powered portfolio intelligence, analytics, and digital workflows. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement real-time portfolio transparency capabilities across REF product generation programs • Lead evaluation, piloting, and adoption of AI-enabled program management tools and GenAI solutions • Build intelligent dashboards and KPI frameworks to enhance forecast quality and early warning capability • Support Head of Program Management in defining global program governance and reporting frameworks • Drive adoption of standardized methodologies and best practices across program teams • Act as trusted intelligence partner to senior stakeholders on all portfolio and program data topics • Bridge global collaboration between ZEISS REF teams in Germany and India Location: Bangalore, India Reports to: Head of Program Management Business Sector (REF) Budget Responsibility: ~60mn EUR p.a. Team: Small team, build-up planned

Education: • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Medical Technology, or Business Administration • MBA, MSc, or PhD preferred Experience: • 8+ years in Program Management, Product Development, Management Consulting, or Business Transformation • Proven track record in regulated industries (MedTech strongly preferred) • Hands-on experience with global, cross-functional development programs • Background in AI or digital-transformation initiatives is a significant asset Required Skills: • Advanced program and portfolio management skills (PMP, SAFe, or equivalent preferred) • Strong practical knowledge of AI, GenAI, workflow automation, and advanced analytics • Experience with resource planning and portfolio governance frameworks in regulated environments • Proficiency in Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or comparable toolsets • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities • Fluent English; experience in international and intercultural collaboration (Germany–India context preferred) • High systems-thinking capability and strategic orientation
