Job description

As a Global Procurement Specialist NPR (Non-Product Related), you will be responsible for managing selected global procurement subcategories, including IT, People & Professional Services, Utilities Management, and other business-related categories across Nexperia sites worldwide.

You will play a key role in developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost optimization, and ensuring procurement activities deliver the best total cost of ownership (TCO) for Nexperia. Working closely with internal stakeholders and global suppliers, you will support sourcing initiatives, contract management, process improvements, and procurement transformation projects.

What You Will Do

  • Manage procurement activities for assigned global NPR categories, including supplier selection, sourcing strategies, market analysis, pricing development, and risk mitigation.

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic and key suppliers while applying the 4-Buy Principle: Buy Right, Buy Low, Buy Little, and Buy On-Time.

  • Lead sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings, supplier consolidation, and improved procurement efficiency.

  • Drive synergy opportunities across global sites by optimizing supplier portfolios and reducing unnecessary supplier complexity.

  • Manage contract reviews and negotiations with strategic suppliers to ensure competitive terms and business value.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide effective procurement solutions.

  • Guide stakeholders on the appropriate procurement channels and processes to ensure compliance and reduce maverick purchasing.

  • Support early involvement in sourcing activities to maximize procurement contribution and value creation.

  • Participate in system and process improvement projects to enhance procurement effectiveness.

  • Promote best practices and support continuous improvement within the procurement team.

  • Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and development support to team members.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related commercial discipline.

  • Minimum 4+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably within the semiconductor, technology, manufacturing, or similar industries.

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to support business communication and collaboration.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience managing international suppliers and working with global stakeholders across different regions.

  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and organizational levels.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in an international environment.

  • Ability to work independently with a solution-oriented mindset while following established processes.

  • Experience with procurement systems, contract management, and cost optimization initiatives is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel to Seremban approximately 2–3 times per month.
