General Manager

Our San Jose Area client is seeking a full-time direct-hire General Manager. Our client is a well established company with multiple brands under one umbrella. The General Manager will be responsible for all operating aspects of a successful high-end resort style fitness facility. 

POSITION SUMMARY: This position carries out the brand promise, service vision and core values of the company. The General Manager brings to life a high performance culture that develops, empowers and recognizes great employees and delivers five-star service and an immaculately clean, safe club to members and guests. This position leads, mentors and develops a team of department directors, covering all facets of club operations including sales, fitness, aquatics, group exercise, food & beverage, childcare, day spa, facilities, housekeeping, and others. The General Manager is responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the club. This position will be provided with general supervision by the Senior Vice President or a Regional Vice President and must be able to effectively lead a high-end, resort-style, family-oriented athletic club with minimal direct supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 Years of management/leadership in a high-end fitness facility or high-end hotel
• Strong communicator written and oral
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable with sale
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Colle Degree Preferred / Master's Degree a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Occasional bending and kneeling 
• Frequent standing, walking and reaching
