General Maint. Tech III (#019614) Kershaw Correctional Inst, Kershaw (LANCASTER) Level 2

<ul><li style="text-align: left">Plans and develops repair program for all locking devices, doors, door closures, emergency equipment and other security equipment items.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Provides general maintenance for maximum security institution.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Organizes and ensures proper control accountability and security for items assigned to the institution.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Performs routine and emergency maintenance on all security equipment doors, locking devices, etc. as prescribed. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Serves as on-call maintenance supervisor as per roster.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Conducts prescribed daily, weekly, or monthly inventories of all keys and other related equipment. &nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Prepares and submits written reports on Inspections and inventories. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Procures necessary materials, parts, and supplies to maintain all locking devices, doors and keys in good working order and completes other assigned item projects. &nbsp;</li><li style="text-align: left">Maintains an effective, organized preventive maintenance program. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.&nbsp;</strong><br><br></p><div style="text-align: center"><strong><u>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</u></strong></div><div style="text-align: center"><strong><u>Recruiting and Employment Services<br>(803) 896-1649<br><a>[email protected]</a></u></strong></div><div style="text-align: center"><p style="text-align: left"><strong>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</strong><br>A high school diploma and trades experience related to the area of employment.
