Apply to this jobThe General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a broad range of maintenance tasks to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations on the North Slope. This position will be responsible for driving CCI's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Essential Duties & Job Functions:

- Communicate daily status of current projects to Facility Operations and the O&M Superintendent as necessary to ensure all projects are timely and within company and client standards.
- Assist others on special project needs, when appropriate.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools (buffer/grinders, jigsaw, drills, T-bar, rakes, shovels, etc.) carrying and lifting materials (cribbing, chock blocks, straps, insulation, metal, etc.) for pipeline insulation removal and installation.
- Perform manual labor insulating, fabricating, installing sheet metal, using shop equipment, erecting scaffolding, etc.
- Will ensure work scopes are fully defined and proper resources and materials are in place to accomplish goals

- Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on call or attending

- Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be deemed unsafe. Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly. - Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to safety
- Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur.
- Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all response-related equipment, policies, procedures and tactics at all times
- Attend and participate in required meetings, training, and exercises.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Self-directed with minimal supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, remote locations.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the
construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high
precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of
electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
