THE JOB:

Join the high-energy culinary team at MGM Springfield as a Garde Manger Cook, where creativity, precision, and passion come together every single day. In this role, you’ll be a key player behind the scenes—executing large-scale food preparation and managing inventory like a pro. Working side-by-side with our talented Chef, you’ll help deliver show-stopping presentations and unforgettable flavors that WOW our guests and elevate every event. THE STARTING RATE: $22.05 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques

• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment

• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service

• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation

• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation

• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service

• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups

• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred

• Willing and able to work Part-Time variable shifts; current shift noted as Friday - Sunday 6:00am- 2:45pm to include weekends and holidays

Pay Rate

The rate for this role is:

$22.05

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

 

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.

Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
