Game Night Staff: Caps Crew (Part-Time/Seasonal)

Position Overview:

Caps Crew is the fan ambassador team for the Washington Capitals that amplifies the in-game atmosphere by bringing energy inside Capital One Arena. During games, Caps Crew Members facilitate various promotions, hype up the crowd, and enhance the in-game experience for fans. Members are required to work pre-season, regular season, and playoff home games, with additional opportunities to work various marketing and community events.

Responsibilities:

• Entertain and energize crowds at Capitals home games.
• Select contestants for in-game promotions and explain contest rules to participants.
• Carry out on-ice, in-crowd, and backstage promotions and contests, including set-up and breakdown of all interactive elements.
• Work with in-game hosts, players, and high-profile personalities for special guest promotions and recognition.
• Engage with fans during game days and events in sharing a love of Washington Capitals hockey.
• Provide high-quality customer service interactions with all guests to enhance the game day experience.
• Act as a liaison between fans/special guests and the Game Presentation Manager.
• Assist in floor managing.
• Opportunity for additional appearances on behalf of the Capitals at community, season ticket holder, and sponsored events.
• Attend all team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of the Washington Capitals brand and hockey rules/regulations.
• Demonstrate an on-camera presence highlighting poise, integrity and approachability.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly to new situations.
• Personable and engaging personality.
• Able to carry oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Self-starter, dedicated, and highly motivated.
• Ability to give and receive comprehensive direction.
• Previous experience in the sports/entertainment industry preferred.
• A live performance background is encouraged.
• Requires prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and ability to pick up and carry up to 25lbs.
• Availability to work most Capitals home games and select community appearances.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• All qualified applicants will be required to attend an in-person tryout.

Pay Range: $18.40 USD/hour
