About the Team:
TikTok LIVE Data Platform is building next-generation Data & AI infrastructure, including the Index Platform, Label Platform, Portrait Platform, Diagnostic Platform, Data Asset Management Platform, Data Suite, Data Agent and AI-native solutions for internal and business users.

Our platform powers data products across TikTok LIVE, covering data processing (streaming & batch), OLAP analytics, data visualization, AI-powered analytics, intelligent diagnostics, and AI Agent workflows. We are building the next generation of AI-native data applications that combine modern full-stack engineering with large language models to enable intelligent analysis, automation, and decision making.

As part of the team, you’ll work across both frontend and backend systems, collaborating closely with product managers, data engineers, AI engineers, and infrastructure teams to build scalable products that empower millions of users and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for TikTok LIVE Data Platform, including web applications, backend services, APIs, and AI-native workflows.
2. Build intelligent data products such as analytics platforms, diagnostic systems, BI tools, AI Agents, and data management platforms that improve business efficiency and decision making.
3. Collaborate with product, data, AI, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions across frontend, backend, and cloud services.
4. Explore and adopt modern AI-native development paradigms, leveraging LLMs and AI Agents to enhance product capabilities, engineering productivity, and user experience.
5. Continuously improve engineering excellence through reusable architecture, developer tooling, testing, performance optimization, and best practices.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
2. Solid software engineering fundamentals with experience developing modern web applications using at least one mainstream frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
3. Experience building backend services and APIs with at least one backend language (Java, Go, Python, Node.js, etc.), with understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
4. Familiar with frontend engineering, component-based development, API design, and modern software development practices.
5. Good understanding of databases, data modeling, and common storage technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
6. Strong problem-solving ability, communication skills, and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
7. Good written and spoken English for cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with one or more of the following experiences are highly preferred:
- Experience building data platforms, data infrastructure, or data-intensive applications, with familiarity in technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, ClickHouse, Doris, Elasticsearch, or similar systems.
- Experience developing data visualization platforms, BI systems, dashboards, or analytical applications using modern visualization frameworks.
- Hands-on experience building AI-native applications or AI Agents, with practical knowledge of Agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, tool calling, memory, planning, and evaluation methodologies.
