Full Time Cook

✨ What You'll Do:

• Prepare and cook a variety of delicious meals in large quantities following set menus and portion control guidelines

• Safely accommodate special diets and prepare texture-modified foods (e.g., purees)

• Keep the kitchen sparkling clean, organized, and up to health standards

• Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety

• Help with meal service and clean-up, including carts and serving areas

• Make sure meals look as good as they taste—presentation matters!

• Support and train new team members as needed

• Step into a supervisory role when the Dietary Supervisor is off duty

• Collaborate closely with all departments to support the best resident care

👩‍🍳 What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of experience cooking in a hospital, long-term care, or similar setting

• Ability to follow recipes, understand dietary needs, and prepare food safely

• ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

• A team player with great communication and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet for most of the shift

• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus

• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health
