Full Stack Developer

• Participate in design sessions, implementation plans, resolve technical issues, review code and provide feedback
• Build and maintain simple and intuitive APIs’ for a very large developer community within Nike.
• Encourage innovation with new technologies and elegant solutions
• Advocate technical direction, define best practices and principles
• Onboard new team members
• Ensure successful quality software with emphasis in these areas:
  • Security
  • Privacy
  • Reliability
  • Availability
  • Maintainability
  • Performance

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 2 years of additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience building cloud based, high volume, highly available, concurrent and performant applications (required)
• Nodejs proficiency (required)
• Solid understanding and experience integrating with WeChat and other Social/Payment applications (required)
• Experience designing APIs and creating RESTful microservices (Required)
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and design patterns
• Experience writing automated tests using tools like JUnit, ScalaTest, Spock or Specs
• Experience with applications hosted in Amazon Web Services AWS
• Experience delivering software in a Scrum development process
• Knowledge of the Netflix Open Source Stack
• Fluency in English
