Job description

This TNA assignment will serve as a bridge to the CNA Training Program and assist with resident care by providing unit support with the non-direct care activities listed below. This assignment will allow the potential CNA trainee to get a glimpse of the CNA experience from a non-direct care perspective; through observation and direct participation.

 

  • Make resident beds
  • Transport residents to activities and meals
  • Answer call bells
  • Answer unit phone
  • Check and stock supplies
  • Collect plates and cups after dining
  • Put away laundry/Labeling clothes for laundry
  • Check resident rooms for amenities
  • Alert nursing staff of resident needs as necessary
  • Perform Enhanced Observation of a resident/patient as assigned, to ensure safety, comfort and companionship.
  • Documents resident/patient behaviors, activities hourly in Behavior Book when assigned as to Enhanced Observation.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Grounds monitor of the residents

A Nurse Aide Assistant doesn't require a GED/High school diploma but to enter into our Nurse Aide Training Class you do need to either one.
