FPGA Developer - VP

The MS Ultra-Low Latency Connectivity team are responsible for the global connectivity and order management of ULL platforms, primarily focused on global equity trading venues.

We are looking to add a hands-on FPGA developer to our global team of highly skilled hardware & software engineers from a wide range of backgrounds & experience levels.

Responsibilities include FPGA development & verification projects to deliver hardware solutions to maintain industry leadership and competitive advantage in the electronic trading space. Looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, positive, flexible team player to collaborate with the wider team in local and global locations.

Day-to-day work will include programming in verilog, FPGA simulation, verification & testing. Experience in programming in Verilog/VHDL is required, as well as experience with Vivado Synthesis tools. Prior experience in FPGA simulation, CDC & verification is preferred.  

Qualifications Skills Required

➢ Minimum of 5 years of development experience in FPGA (verilog/VHDL) programming

➢ Good understanding of hardware systems design

➢ Experience with Vivado synthesis tool

➢ Knowledge of hardware architecture and computer science fundamentals

➢ Ability to work effectively as part of a global development team

➢ Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently

➢ Good verbal and written communication skills

➢ Self-motivated and an interest to learn

Skills Desired

➢ Experience in FPGA simulation, CDC & verification

➢ Experience with exchange financial trading protocols

➢ Experience working in C++ on a Linux environment

➢ Experience building low latency electronic trading systems

➢ Working knowledge of agile and continuous integration/delivery principle

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
