Job description

RRD is a leading global provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions that elevate engagement across the complete customer journey. The company offers the industry’s most trusted portfolio of creative execution and world-wide business process consulting, with services designed to lower environmental impact. With 22,000 clients, including 93% of the Fortune 100, and 32,000 employees across 28 countries, RRD brings the expertise, execution, and scale designed to transform customer touchpoints into meaningful moments of impact.

RRD’s De Pere facility is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join our fast-paced production team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout our facility.  You will directly support our printing presses and finishing equipment, ensuring raw paper stock and finished mail pieces are exactly where they need to be, when they need to be there.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load & Unload: Safely unload incoming shipments of raw materials and goods and load outgoing mail trays/pallets onto postal and freight trucks.
  • Production Support: Stage materials at printing presses to prevent production downtime. Safely remove finished goods from production lines.
  • Inventory Control: Verify shipping documents (bills of lading, packing slips) against incoming materials, enter received shipments into PWMS, accurately label goods and complete monthly audits.
  • Precision Handling: Safely handle paper stock, tightly packed mail trays, and print materials without causing damage.
  • Machine Setup: Set up and adjust slitter machine blades, guides, and counter settings based on job ticket specifications for width, length, and margin trim.
  • Material Loading: Use of roll clamps to safely load master print rolls onto the slitter unwind shaft.
  • Quality & Precision: Monitor the slitting process to ensure clean, straight cuts without jagged edges or tearing. Regularly measure finished pieces against client specs using calipers or rulers.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-operational inspections on operated equipment. Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse and production areas.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating a forklift, ideally in a direct mail facility or high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.  We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Certification: Forklift certification not required; willing to train and certify reliable, motivated, and safety conscious candidates.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or sit for extended periods, and work comfortably in a busy production environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documentation, matching material codes to specific client print runs to prevent mixing up critical project components.
  • Tech Savvy: Basic comfort using inventory software is a plus but not required.
