Job Description Summary

Perform identified duties for assigned fluid or electrical components (pumps, heat exchangers, valves, thermocouples, sensors), assemblies, and processes in a multi-functional team environment for aircraft engines GE9X and LEAP.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute, with guidance of a mentor, the analysis, design, and integration required to define and support the assigned components, assemblies and process that meet business standards, practices, and procedures, and meet the product requirements.
  • Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Specifications, and industry Standards.                                       
  • Develop technical capabilities concurrent with the execution of the task of the position. 
  • Document technical data that is generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and process that is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely communication on significant issues or developments.        
  • Support the solution of problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Utilize Six Sigma tools to improve current business products and processes.  Document successful Six Sigma projects via Green Belt reports and/or presentations.
  • Demonstrated solid technical engineering capability and judgment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master degree student. Mechatronic, Aeronautic, Electric/Electronic, Mechanical engineering.
  • Sound understanding of engineering principles relevant to the position.
  • Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding). Must have fluency, rhythm, and sufficient self-confidence in the language to be able to handle meetings and conversations.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
