Careers with Montgomery Parks offer purpose, stability, and the opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact where people live, work, and connect.&nbsp;</p><strong>Learn More&nbsp;</strong><strong>About Montgomery Parks:&nbsp;</strong><a href="https://www.montgomeryparks.org/" target="_blank">https://www.montgomeryparks.org/</a>&nbsp;<p><strong>Operations &amp; Program Management</strong></p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Lead and continuously improve fleet maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high service standards.</li><li>Evaluate and recommend new processes, technologies, and equipment to enhance program performance.</li><li>Communicate operational updates and initiatives to staff and support implementation of new techniques and procedures.</li><li>Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvements.</li></ul><p><strong>Personnel Management</strong></p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Manage and oversee a team of approximately 30 staff, including supervisors, mechanics, and parts personnel.</li><li>Provide leadership through coaching, counseling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.</li><li>Partner with Human Resources to recruit, interview, hire, employee issues and onboarding new employees.</li><li>Review, adjust, and approve employee timecards and payroll records.</li><li>Develop and implement annual training and development programs to enhance staff performance and skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Budgeting &amp; Financial Management</strong></p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Develop and manage the annual operating budget, including forecasting labor, parts, supplies, and fuel costs using fleet management systems and historical data.</li><li>Monitor expenditures and provide justification and reporting on budget performance.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership on purchasing decisions for vehicles and equipment.</li><li>Analyze fleet and equipment performance to inform purchasing specifications and lifecycle planning.</li><li>Oversee purchasing programs, including procurement cards and outsourced repair services.</li><li>Manage fleet disposal processes, ensuring assets are sold at fair market value using established systems and pricing strategies.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Competencies</strong></p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Strong knowledge of complex automotive maintenance and fleet operations.</li><li>Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing diverse teams.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to analyze data and make informed operational and financial decisions.</li></ul><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Demonstrated experience with progressively increasing responsibility in fleet or automotive maintenance management.</li><li>Proven success leading teams, managing budgets, and improving operational performance.</li></ul><ol><li>Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, or any other related field.&nbsp;</li><li>Six (6) years of varied and responsible experience in the administration of a large fleet maintenance operation, including budget preparation, analysis, and control.&nbsp;</li><li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total ten (10) years.</li><li>Valid driver's license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations.
